The College of North West London Students’ Union

The Students’ Union is the channel that feeds through the student voice to the College decision making process which impacts positively on the lives of the students.   The Union serves to promote cultural and recreational activities of all students and holds various activities and events every year.

Benefits for joining the Students’ Union Executive Committee and the Student Parliament are:
  • Work experience with College staff
  • Develop new communication skill
  • Be part of the College decision making process
  • Be a student governor
  • Be Student champion
  • Receive free Student Liaison Enrichment Vouchers to activities and Sport Centres
  • Free entrance to all Students’ Union Events
  • Receive reference from the principal as to your roles and responsibilities
  • Represent students at NUS Conferences
Join the Executive Committee if you can answer yes to at least one of the following.
  • Do you want a say in how the Students’ Union is run?
  • Do you think students need more done for them?
  • Are you able to express your ideas?
  • Are you a leader able to represent students to the College Committee and External organisation?
Get involved. Talk to Mercy Udoh, or the Student Liaison Team (Student Rooms) at Willesden and Wembley Centres.
 
Elections are held during September and May of each year.

NUS Extra Card which incorporates the International Student Identity Card (ISIC) are also available online (VLE Moodle) at a cost of £10 each. This card will enable you to obtain discounts at various shops and outlets all over the country.

If you have an idea for a Club or Society, get a group of students together to get started and then contact Mercy Udoh or the Student Rooms. Previous clubs supported have included: Bridge, Nomad Design and Goals for Success Football Club.
