We offer a very extensive range of industry-approved courses in the construction and engineering disciplines, including automobile engineering, civil engineering, building crafts, building services engineering, manufacturing, production and maintenance engineering, electronics and computerised systems engineering, and construction engineering management, right from Level 1 to Foundation Degree level. Government inspectors have found the provision to be among the best in the Further Education sector, and we are part of a national network of Government approved and supported New Technology Institutes. We have also gained recognition as being a Centre of Vocational Excellence in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Electrical Installations, and Construction. We are also very proud of our state-of-the-art new building, which provides exceptional facilities for teaching construction and engineering crafts.
 
What do you want to do?
 
Whatever you want to be, we have experienced staff with the expertise to teach you the knowledge and skills you need to qualify as a bricklayer, plasterer, painter, carpenter, electrician, plumber, gas engineer, refrigeration and air conditioning engineer, and many other related occupations. We also offer qualifications in fields such as planning, housing, architectural technology, surveying studies and building management. A wide range of options is on offer for the novice, professional and specialist, and Apprenticeships are available in all areas of construction crafts.
 
When do you want to do it?
 
Our modular framework provides a highly flexible way of gaining qualifications. By selecting a particular combination of modules a programme can be tailored to suit the individual needs of each student or employer. As well as offering standard courses we can arrange specialised programmes to suit particular requirements. We work closely with industry both locally and nationally and have good working relationships small companies, major businesses and other consortiums. We also provide excellent resources, including specialist machinery and tools, in modern, industry-standard facilities.
