Equipping you with the skills you need
The College of North West London’s Faculty of Skills for Life is a large and long-established centre for the teaching of English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) and attracts students from all over the world. We offer both full-time and part-time ESOL courses, including intensive programmes, from pre-entry level through to level 2, at each of our College centres. We also teach in the community, in the workplace, and at other external centres. Furthermore, we combine ESOL with vocational programmes throughout the College, such as accountancy, brickwork, catering, fashion, hairdressing and care, to offer our students’ the very best opportunities to achieve their goals and enhance their learning experiences.

In addition to our extensive ESOL offer, we also provide courses in Key Skills (communication. application of number, and information and communication technology), literacy, numeracy, pre-GCSE English, and GCSE English. Our ‘Return to Learning’ course, for adults who want to return to education, aims to give students the opportunity to learn new subjects and develop confidence. It is primarily for unemployed or unwaged adults, in particular those who have few or no educational qualifications, but is open to anyone who can benefit from the experience. We also offer a range of teacher training courses, and we are one of the country's main providers of interpreting courses, leading to the Institute of Linguists Diploma in Public Service Interpreting in a variety of languages.
Anything else you should know?
We are accredited by the British Council for the teaching of EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and are a member of English UK. Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced, and we are proud to find that the majority of our students come to us through personal recommendation.
