Enrolment is the process of formally joining the College. Once you have had an interview with the tutor and been given an offer, you will need to complete enrolment.
You will get a Learning Agreement (a list of what you are studying, what the College expects from you and what the College will do for you), you either pay a fee or show evidence of why you will not have to pay, a membership card which allows you into the College and a Student Handbook and Diary.
Fees
Under 19
There are no tuition fees for home students under 19 on the 31st August 2009, however there is a £20 registration fee and there may be additional costs attached e.g. materials or visits. Evidence of date of birth is required and the following documents are required.

- Concessions
Home students in receipt of the below listed income based benefits are entitled to pay the £30 registration fee, plus any additional costs attached e.g. visits or materials.
- Council/Housing Benefit
- Income Support
- Income related Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)
- Job Seekers Allowance
- Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit)
- Retired over 60
- Working Tax Credit with a household income of less than £15,276 There are no concessions for HNC/HND/Foundation Degrees or other full cost courses.
Discounts
Pay your fees in full and get a 10% discount. This does not apply to the registration fee or fees for other courses where there are no concessions. If your employer is paying your fee, you must bring a letter confirming this on company headed paper.
Asylum Seekers
Asylum seekers must show proof of being in the UK legally for more than six months e.g.
- IND Application Registration Card
- Home Office letter stating case is still under review
- Proof of income Based Benefit or National Assistance
Refugees
Refugees must show proof of refugee status, e.g.
- Home Office Letter granting full refugee status, Humanitarian Protection or Discretionary Leave
- Exceptional Leave to Enter or Remain
- Travel Document
- Proof of income based benefit
