Jyotika Vekaria has strong links with the College where she completed an "A-Level equivalent" advanced course (now BTEC) in 2005 – her sister and two brothers also studied here.
Jyotika, 23, is in her final year of a four-year pharmaceutical science course at the University of Hertfordshire, combining biology and chemistry. Last year she was a guest speaker at the College’s International Student Awards Ceremony, while doing a one-year paid industrial placement at the pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline.
Says Jyotika: "College was really friendly and fun, we went on trips and you could talk to people. I still keep in touch."
